Funding for
 Early Years Foundation Degree Gaining EYP Status Full daycare settings to employ an EYP
Eligibility
 Work 16 or more hours in a Dorset* early years setting or as a childminder. Work in a private, voluntary or independent early years setting, a children’s centre or as a childminder.
(Full pathway – degree only, do not need to work in a setting).

Dorset* private, voluntary or independent full day care settings.

(open minimum 4hrs a day, 5 days a week, 38 weeks a year).

£1,350 - p/a 2yr course
£900 - p/a 3yr course
OU funded per module to a max. of £2,700

+ Student Bursary:
£300 p/a for 2 year course
£200 p/a for 3 year course

+ Study Release:
£500 p/a paid to settings

Course Fees fully funded

+ Supply Cover
Validation, Short and Long pathways: £500 - £4,000 dependent on pathway taken. Payable to setting.

+ Bursary
Full pathway only £5,000

Employ an EYP £10,000 p/a

Employ an EYP candidate £5,000 p/a

Min. 50% of above funding must be spent on increasing the EYP’s salary.
